“I began to favor Mike Huckabee midway through November 2007, when I started my political blog. To know all the reasons why I supported Huckabee, you’d have to read through some–or all–of my old posts. But, to summarize, his record on, and eloquence and likeability in, advocating life (including the Human Life Amendment, the rejection of exceptions, and opposition to embryonic stem-cell research), marriage (including the Federal Marriage Amendment), the Second Amendment, and the Fair Tax played a dominant role in my decision to support him. Moreover, his support for homeschoolers, Israel, the war in Iraq, the war on terror, a stronger military, and border security (with no amnesty), as well as his outspoken Christian faith, sealed the deal for me.”

“I first noticed Mike when I was watching a debate on Fox News. He was articulate, humorous, encouraging, and I found out he could play the bass! The next few months were spent on his campaign website, learning about his values and policy positions. Unlike other politicians, his values and his policy positions are one and the same. When Mike says that abortion is evil, he truly means it. When he says that marriage ought to be defined as one man and one woman, he means it. He stands by his values when making his policy decisions. That’s why I like Mike!”

“I came to support Mike Huckabee in September of 2007 when I was researching possible running mates for Fred Thompson. As I was doing that research, I came across Mike Huckabee and it didn’t take me long to figure out he was the candidate I would support. I do so because of his ability to articulate the issues and his stance on them. He is far and above the other candidates in this ability and in his care for the people he governs. His record in Arkansas speaks for itself and I believe it would speak for itself as President of the United States.”

“I started supporting Mike back in June 2007 after I heard him speak in a FOX News debate. I had no clue who this intelligent man was and immediately went to the internet to check out his sites. Once there, I realized Mike speaks for everything I believe in!! Pro-Life, no stem-cell research, he believes in Faith, Family and Freedom (important to a military wife) and is an honorable Christian with a testimony that will make you weep. Then I discovered the Fair Tax and began to get involved with Mike’s campaign.
Mike is so wonderful that he even called me personally one night to thank me for the thousands of phone calls I made for him state to state. He has true character and is a man of truth and honor. The only true conservative I’ve ever known.”

“I started supporting Huck when I read his bio and heard him speak. What I like about him is his sense of conviction, his stands on life issues, his committment to the Fair Tax, his strong wit and personality, and the way he’s run his campaign. I will take him over any candidate of either party since Reagan.”

“As a Christian and social conservative, having a candidate to support this election who reflected my values and respected my world view was always very important to me. The crop that the pundits offered up as front runners never appealed to me.
Once I saw Huck defend his stance on evolution at one of the early debates, his boldness and spiritual strength resonated with me. After doing my research and discovering his blog, I was hooked. His rock solid humanely conservative platform on everything ranging from social to fiscal and defense issues sealed the deal.
I continue to believe that Mike Huckabee is the leader that America needs for such a time as this.”

“I support Mike Huckabee, because while I don’t agree with him on everything, he’s got the important things right: Taxes, Sovereignty, and the rights of the unborn.
He also understands that forgotten art of speaking to middle America which Republicans are going to have remember if we expect to be a majority party.”

“I support Mike Huckabee because of his clear conservative platform and ability to communicate that platform and lead real change in a meaningful way that impacts the daily lives of average citizens in a positive way.”

“I support Huckabee because he stands for the things that I believe are important for the functionality of a civil society, Faith, Family and Freedom.
Civilizations that throw away these values become morally decadent and self-destruct.”

“I began to support Mike in the beginning of October. I was first drawn to Huckabee during the debates because I really enjoyed his sense of humor, honesty, and integrity I felt was lacking from the other candidates. All this convinced me that Mike Huckabee was the best candidate running for president. From his proposals on immigration, to the FairTax, to reforming education he showed me he was the best candidate. He also has a brilliant foreign policy approach and his support of Vertical Politics shows his great vision for America. Finally, who could dislike a minister in his own rock band whose favorite band is the Rolling Stones? This is my first election that I was personally able to vote in and I am proud to have been able to cast my very first vote for Governor Huckabee.”

“I started following Huckabee as soon as I heard him speak at one of the debates. (I don’t remember when.) The first time I visited his website; I was hooked. Mike Huckabee stands for Faith, Family, & Freedom. Those 3 things are what I am willing to fight until death or the Rapture for. (Whichever comes first, I’m ready for both. ) I joined HucksArmy as soon as I heard about it. I convinced the majority of friends and family to vote for Huckabee in IL and WI. I am still working on friends in Indiana and Kentucky.”

“I remember the day that I started supporting Gov Huckabee. I was attending a presidential forum in Des Moines in June of 2007. I had not heard much about Mike at this point in time. I was actually considering Romney at that point. Then I heard Mike speak and the ideas that he has and I was hooked. I have supported Mike ever since. Unfortunately we were not victorious this year, however a lot of things can change in four years and I intend to assist that change.”

“During the first debate I took notes on all the candidates. I was immediately drawn to Huckabee by his fabulous one-liners. He didn’t get much air time but I knew he was one of the few who seemed to match my values. After more research, we were stunned to find a candidate who we BELIEVED IN rather than had to grudgingly hold our nose to vote for.
Mike is a true all around conservative. He principles shape his behavior in everything he does and he has proven that you don’t have to compromise your principles to be a successful politician. His record shows that he truly values life from conception to death. He is one of the most brilliant speakers I’ve ever seen. Mike Huckabee is one of the few politicians who really understands and remembers that elected officials represent “we the people” and the job is to serve, not to fulfill some personal power fantasy.”

“I supported Mike Huckabee for one main reason, although more reasons developed.  I started supporting Mike when he did well in the Ames straw poll, but my support was not solid at that point; I could have switched.  The main reason I decided to be a firm supporter was the fact that I was having “yell at the radio” moments with Mike.
I would listen to the candidates every chance I could.  I would agree with most of them.  But when Mike would speak, I found my self yelling back at the radio, saying, “YES!  Exactly!  Finally, someone who gets it!”  It was like hearing my own political thoughts echoing back through the mouth of a candidate.  It was uncanny.  More than once, I would think something, or mention it to my wife, then hear Mike say it a day or two later on the stump.
I was disappointed in Fred Thompson for his non-campaining, against Rudi Giuliani for his liberalism, disenchanted with Mitt Romney for his inconsistency, and lukewarm about John McCain.  Mike Huckabee’s star began to rise right about the same time.  I liked Mike, and knew if people would get behind him that he was electable. My in-laws are from Texarkana, a town where Mike pastored for several years.  They both think highly of him, and he had a good name in Texarkana.  I was impressed with his record as Gov. of a neighboring state, and decided to be a Huckabee supporter.
My county Republican chairman asked me if I would speak on the Gov’s behalf at our local Republican gathering and straw poll. I did so, and was pleasantly surprised to see Huckabee with the straw poll with over 40% support in our county.  In the Missouri primary, he also won our county, widely defeating the rest of the field.  We just couldn’t win the whole state, unfortunately.”

“Started supporting Gov. Huckabee in May 2007. Started blogging for Gov. Huckabee on July 7, 2007.
I stand with Governor Huckabee because on the non-negotiables (life, faith, family, freedom) he is steadfast and unwavering. I stand with Gov. Huckabee for my young daughter, because I believe that this country is going down a very dangerous path to immorality and destruction of all our founding fathers fought for and that Gov. Huckabee is the one person who could lead this country back to strength, moral fortitude and prosperity. I have to stand with Gov. Huckabee, anything else would be turning my back on my convictions.”

“Though I’ve always enjoyed following politics in the past, I didn’t start looking closely at this year’s candidates too closely until I received my National Journal in the mail in early January with their endorsement of Mitt Romney. After this and a conservation with my dad (who is a McCain supporter), I figured that I’d better figure out who best represents the values that I hold dear. Boy, was I surprised what I found out when I looked at Mike Huckabee! Being a man of faith immediately attracted me; however, it was how he integrated his faith into politics that I had never seen in any presidential candidate since I’ve been following politics since the early 1980s. He has leadership abilities and a vision, but at the same time he knows how to relate to average middle class people and understands our struggles. I’m married and have 6 wonderful kids ( 3 boys, 3 girls) ranging from 13 years down to 4 months. So Godly and family issues are the core of issues that matter most to me. However, as a meteorologist, I’m very environmentally aware and, like Governor Huckabee, believe we should be good stewards of what God has given us. By the way, man-made global warming is generally a myth. Liberals have hijacked the issue making it a more political than scientific. (Just had to get that last part in there.)”

“In 2004, this homeschooled teenager helped elect a congressman by running throughout precincts, stamping piles of letters and shouting and waving signs in the rain. I loved every minute of it! But, by 2007, I was sick of my own party’s phony politics. I was fascinated by the 2008 election, but not enthused with the 2008 candidates.
In May, I gave Huckabee a serious look. I was refreshed by his humanity, values and candor. I was inspired by his record, vision and eloquence. The governor ignited again my desire to act. He embodied the reason why I ever entered politics: Principle. Mike Huckabee is my choice because Huckabee is my voice.”

“I was a halfway supporter of Mike Huckabee throughout 2007. After taking a closer look at the slate of GOP candidates, I decided to jump in up to my neck. I believed that Mike was the man to lead the GOP. While the other candidates brought up the murder of innocent babies and other moral issues only when asked, Mike did it without being asked. For more reasons, check out my blog’s older posts.”

“I have been a constituent of Gov. Huckabee’s since he took office as president of the Arkansas Baptist Convention and have been a very loyal supporter ever since. As a direct result of the Huckabee administration in Arkansas, my children have many more opportunities in this great state than they ever would have before, and for that I am forever greatful and will do everything in my power to help the governor in whatever venture he takes.”
