I believe Mike Huckabee has the best chance to win in 2012 for three main reasons: His base is engaged, Romney supporters are switching, and he’s kept his visibility strong.
1. He already has a huge base of support. He has founded Huck PAC and the Vertical Politics Institute. Hucks Army is still going strong, active and engaged, and the F3 Coalition formed out of the 2008 campaign and is active and growing. Huck PAC has kept us bloggers engaged (see, here I am writing about Huckabee) with their “Bloggers for Huck PAC,” Vertical Day, and bloggers-only conference calls.
2. Romney supporters are admitting that they were wrong. Mitt Romney was the reason we did not win in 2008. Paul Weyrich, the founder of the Heritage Foundation and the Council on National Policy, renounced his endorsement of Romney and said “Friends, before you, and before Almighty God…I was wrong.” He then told the assembly that he should have backed Huckabee. Many Romney supporters I’ve spoken to admit that Huckabee was unfairly lampooned by El Rushbo, Sean Hannity, and other conservative hosts. Others now agree that he is the more conservative of the two. (One exception is Michael Medved, who backed McCain but liked Huckabee as well.) Dr. James Dobson endorsed Mike Huckabee in late February. Perhaps his endorsement will come earlier next time.
3. His visibility is strong. While I haven’t heard of Mitt Romney for quite sometime, Mike Huckabee’s name constantly is popping up in the news. He is now a FOX News contributor and a ‘friend’ of Sean Hannity (not sure how long this relationship will last), appearing on Hannity’s radio and television shows nearly every week. He hosts “Huckabee” on weekends and “The Huckabee Report” will begin airing daily in January on ABC Radio stations.
Who will be his opponents? I believe that Sarah Palin will be running, as well as Bobby Jindal and Mitt Romney. I think Palin and Jindal offer the same pro-family, no-nonsense conservatism that Huckabee offers, however Huckabee is more experienced and is probably more popular. I’m not sure how they’ll compete.
Mitt Romney will likely run, but he’s yesterday’s news. He is now known as the guy who spent $105 million and dropped out right after Super Tuesday. I don’t think he’ll go far, and, again, I don’t think he’ll have the kind of support he had this time. Many of his supporters have now realized what a political oppurtunist he is. I think evangelicals will go strong for Huckabee next time.
I received a comment last month that said, in part, “I don’t think it’s smart to get right back into it until at least after the midterm elections in 2010… let alone a week-and-a-half after the election.”
But I still like Mike.
The Huckabee Alliance 
Mike Huckabee will single handily destroy democracy and freedom in our country. A pastor has no business becoming a President unless he gives up his religion and does not use it to interfere in politics. His policies will only result in loss of freedom for women, homosexuals, religious groups, and racial groups.
He may win the Republican nomination, but I’m certain the US will not elect the ultimate red neck to Presidency.

Nonsense. His policies wouldn’t reduce the freedoms homosexuals have right now (that’s a lot) though they would prevent them from gaining more. Huckabee has protected different racial groups on numerous occasions when he was governor of Arkansas, so I don’t know where that came from. If you don’t want him to be elected because he’s a “red-neck” isn’t that racism? He wouldn’t take away any freedom from women except the “freedom” to kill their own child (unless u believe a fetus w/ human DNA, a human mind, and human emotions isn’t human, which is contradictory). I find it odd you lament the “lack of freedom” u think his presidency would bring to religious groups when u just said u want him to “give up his religion.” In short, your thoughts about him are paranoid and your criticisms of him are contradictory and self-refuting.

Auto and Economic Recovery Plan
As an observer of the economic recovery efforts currently underway I must say I have not heard a single plan that seems to be working. We have funded banks that are not loaning money. We have a scared populace that won’t borrow money we have looming layoffs and worsening conditions. Not to mention the denial by executives getting bonuses and out right fraud that is being exposed by the failing markets. So here is the “Frazier Plan”
I was ordering a Coupon to get my Digital TV converter for my analog set and realized this program could be the answer. Briefly the government is giving me a $40.00 coupon to purchase a $50 to $60 converter box. Then it occurred to me the government could do the same thing with autos. Think about it. Here is how I see this idea working in an auto environment.
First rule the car must be built in the US.
Second Rule the car must be rated at 30 MPG Hwy
Third it can not cost more than $17,000.
Each card carrying tax payer that is a US citizen could apply on line for a coupon valued at $8,000 to $12,000.
The difference in the purchase price of the auto would be paid by the coupon holder, for example 20% of the purchase price.
This brings in the rest of the private sector to start the economy moving.
This plan does not prop up the auto makers waiting on the economy to turn around. What they need is sales. The proposed loans to the auto makers does not help the rest of the industry if no one is buying cars, and what about dealers, suppliers, shippers and lenders. The auto industry is large enough to completely jump start the economy.
The tax payer is funding the whole thing anyway so why not let the tax payer be the principal beneficiary?
GM has three models that qualify
Ford has three models
Chrysler has one
Toyota has three
Customers would visit their local show room to order the car they want. They can upgrade with their own cash as long as the car meets the mileage requirement.
I estimate it will cost about 700 billion dollars. It will leverage another 700 billion in private money.
It will reduce oil imports by about 1/3. So what are we waiting for? Send this on to your friends and to your congressman.

I think you’re right, that Gov. Huckabee came through the election more or less unhurt, and looking better all the time. The Limbaugh and Coulter crowd will never admit that they were wrong, but even Hannity is kissing up to Huckabee now.
That the last major statement Paul Weyrich made before he passed away was his famous rebuke of everyone — including himself — who didn’t back Gov. Huckabee is powerful.
Gov. Palin is the new Dan Quayle. She’s popular for a good ideology, but there’s no real substance there. She’ll look good in early polls and get plucked apart in the early debates. Assuming that the system looks anything like it does now by 2012, she’ll never get through the no-nonsense states like Iowa and New Hampshire.
Sorry, I’m rambling …

I would like to see you name all the presidents that were not religious. And I bet you will not find many of them.
Huckabee is the only politician I have heard talk openly and honestly about illegal immigration. And he seems to be the only person that understands the drain they have on our economy.
And really, Obama? I do not believe that any man with very distinct ties to a domestic terrorist and a black separatist church (which of course he separated himself from once his longtime membership became public) has any business being the president of the free world!

Kudos on your great site from a former Huck’s Army member. I’m looking forward to working for Mike again when he runs in 2012.
In the meantime, I’ve just started a new blog that will be highlighting the dangers of the secular progressive movement (pro-gay “rights”, pro-abortion, anti-religious freedoms, etc). Unfortunately, most Christians still don’t know what’s going on out there and the mainstream media certainly isn’t covering it.

Huckabee isn’t more popular than Sarah Palin, but he doesn’t have to be. Their support is for all intents and purposes interchangeable. Besides, Palin is young enough to get in line. Palin would make a great Energy Secretary in a Huckabee/Jindal administration, and then she and Jindal can jockey for the chance to succeed Huckabee in 2020. Besides, in 2012, people will be so sick of Obama, they’ll be screaming, “Anybody But Obama!”
Frisco, we’ve had a preacher-turned-President before, and the nation survived just fine.

Sarah Palin may draw a large crowd of curiosity seekers but she is not qualified to be president and she could never win a general election. If she were to become our nominee, we would lose all hope of getting Obma out of that White House. We need someone who can go toe to toe with Obama in speeches, debates and charisma. That is ONLY HUCKABEE…

If Huckabee had won the primaries, I would have voted for him. As it was, I could only vote for McCain or Obama. I ended up watching the whole thing in despair. If Huckabee can make it this year, I will vote for the first time ever. GO HUCKABEE!
