Barack Plays the Race Card

“Nobody thinks that Bush and McCain have a real answer to the challenges we face. So what they’re going to try to do is make you scared of me,” Obama said. “You know, ‘He’s not patriotic enough, he’s got a funny name,’ you know, ‘he doesn’t look like all those other presidents on the dollar bills.” – Barack Obama

And so go the politics of change. In a similar statement in June, Obama added, “Oh, and did I mention he’s black,” supposedly mimicking Republicans.

He has accused McCain (and George Bush) of being racist, straight up. Accusing someone of being racist indicates that Obama has his own bit of racism, or at least a predjudice. The fact that McCain hasn’t said anything that could be construed as such is evidence enough that Obama is just looking for an opportunity to accuse McCain.

And these are the politics of change?
